Spokane, WA: Networked Lighting Controls

Events | September 13, 2019 | 3628 S. 35th Street, Tacoma @ 8:00 am

Sponsored by the Lighting Design Lab

Lighting controls offer the opportunity to balance the visual environment, enhance space flexibility, and improve user satisfaction while saving significant amounts of energy, and improving maintenance cycles. Designing and implementing high quality control systems can also help to differentiate contractors and designers in a competitive marketplace.

Wide scale adoption of well-designed and implemented controls systems has been slowed by perceived complexity, cost, and concerns about call backs. In this one-day, hands-on workshop, you will learn industry best practices and strategies, then apply them to an example project.

This comprehensive workshop will introduce you to modern lighting control strategies and equipment, and instruct you on how to effectively implement them on all projects. System design, installation, sequence of operations, and startup will be discussed.

Using best practices, you will apply the knowledge you gained to design demonstration systems, and install and program the controls hardware of two industry leading manufacturers.
